The Miller Law Firm has opened an investigation into Taco Bell and Taylor Farms regarding the recent cyclosporiasisan outbreak which may be linked to contaminated lettuce.
Michigan is experiencing an unusually massive outbreak of cyclosporiasis, a gastrointestinal illness caused by the microscopic parasite Cyclospora cayetanensis. While the state usually only sees about 50 cases a year, the current outbreak has led to over 5,000 reported cases across 55 counties, resulting in several hospitalizations.
Federal health officials have indicated that the outbreak may be linked to contaminated lettuce potentially supplied by Taylor Farms and sold at Taco Bell locations.
Symptoms of cyclosporiasis include diarrhea, bloating, stomach cramps, nausea, and fatigue.
