On November 13, 2025, the Honorable Shalina D. Kumar of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan appointed The Miller Law Firm and its co-counsel to lead the case, Powell v. General Motors LLC.
The Court selected the Miller Slate from multiple applicants seeking leadership roles in the litigation, finding that the firm’s extensive experience handling complex class actions made it the most capable and efficient choice to represent the proposed class.
In its order, the Court recognized that the Miller Slate’s experience, resources, and ability to dedicate significant time and attention to the matter positioned the team to best protect the interests of consumers involved in the litigation.
