The Miller Law Firm, P.C. has opened an investigation into an alleged data breach concerning Benefits Partner, LLC, which does business under the name Salus Group (“Salus Group”), headquartered in Sterling Heights, MI.
According to a recent data breach notice filed with the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Salus Group identified suspicious activity within its network on October 9, 2024, and opened an investigation into the incident concluding in late February 2025, and determined that an unauthorized third-party accessed an employee’s email account which contained sensitive personal information that may have been compromised.
The sensitive personal information that may have been compromised in the alleged security incident includes:
- Social Security Numbers
- Names
- Dates of Birth
- Financial Account Information
- Drivers License Numbers
- Health Insurance Information
- Clinical Treatment Information
