Attorneys Kevin O’Shea and Devon Allard of The Miller Law Firm recently secured summary disposition on behalf of an individual client who was sued by a former employer alleging violations of a non-compete agreement and confidentiality agreement.
The dispute centered on the enforceability of restrictive covenants that sought to limit the client’s post-employment activities. Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Michael Warren agreed with the arguments presented by Miller Law, finding that both the covenant not to compete and the confidentiality covenant were unenforceable.
The Court’s ruling resulted in the dismissal of the claims against the client, resolving the matter without the need for a trial. This outcome allowed the client to avoid the uncertainty, expense, and disruption associated with continued litigation.
Kevin O’Shea and Devon Allard’s successful representation reflects The Miller Law Firm’s experience handling complex employment and commercial disputes, including matters involving restrictive covenants, business relationships, and contract enforcement.
