About Jacob M. Campbell

Jacob M. Campbell is a senior associate attorney at The Miller Law Firm. His practice currently focuses on complex commercial litigation.

Prior to joining The Miller Law Firm, Jacob worked as an attorney for a reputable Troy-based commercial litigation firm, litigating cases in both state and federal court. He has also served as in-house counsel for a sporting goods superstore chain.

Mr. Campbell graduated from The University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. Later, he went on to attend Wayne State University Law School, earning his Juris Doctor degree. Prior to and concurrent with his law school studies, Jacob gained significant experience in multiple areas of the law, such experience included assisting with consumer bankruptcy cases, clerking for a firm handling auto insurance litigation, an externship with a global automotive supplier, and clerking for a firm specializing in commercial litigation.

Jacob is also an active member of the OCBA.

Representative Matters

Prosecution and defense of shareholder disputes and member disputes, primarily in closely held businesses.

Assisted in securing a preliminary injunction in favor of a Tier 1 automotive supplier, and later a permanent injunction, enforcing its supply contracts.

Issuing demand for assurances correspondence and prosecuting enforcement actions concerning automotive supply chain contracts.

Prosecution of claims involving breach of non-compete clauses and related restrictive covenants (e.g., involving financial brokerage professionals).

Prosecution of breach of contract/UCC claims in private arbitration involving the sale of refrigerant gas.

Secured and recovered collateral through breach of contract/claim and delivery actions throughout the State of Michigan.

Admissions

Mr. Campbell is admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and its Bankruptcy Court. He is admitted to practice in the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also been admitted pro hac vice in Courts outside of Michigan, including the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Steuben County, Indiana and Allen County, Indiana.
