The Miller Law Firm, P.C. is pleased to announce that a $14 million class action settlement has been approved against McLaren Health Care Corporation, resolving claims arising from two alleged data breaches that may have compromised the Personally Identifying Information and Protected Health Information of McLaren patients nationwide. E. Powell Miller of The Miller Law Firm was appointed co-lead class counsel, with partners Emily Hughes and Gregory Mitchell also serving as counsel for the class.

Plaintiffs alleged that between July 28 – August 23, 2023, and again between July 17 – August 3, 2024, cybercriminals gained unauthorized access to McLaren’s network and patients’ Private Information, and that McLaren failed to adequately protect it. McLaren denies the allegations and, by entering into
the Settlement, is not admitting fault. The Settlement Class includes all individuals in the United States whose Private Information was allegedly compromised in either breach.
