E. Powell Miller, managing partner of the Miller Law Firm, has been appointed by the Honorable Michael A. Shipp of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey as Interim Co-Lead Class Counsel in Aronstein v. Kenvue, Inc., et al.
The lawsuit alleges that certain adhesive bandages marketed under the tradename “Band-Aid” contain unsafe levels of PFAS chemicals which are used for their water-proof properties. Modern science has demonstrated that there is no safe level of exposure to PFAS and even trace levels can be harmful to human health and the environment. Studies have indicated that PFAS can be absorbed though the skin and that PFAS exposure can result in a variety of adverse health effects including cancer, cardiovascular disease, and reproductive issues, among many others. The lawsuit further alleges that Defendants have been aware that their products contain PFAS chemicals but have continued to market and sell these products to unsuspecting customers.
If you or someone you know has purchased Band-Aid products and believe they may contain PFAS chemicals, or would like more information about the latest developments in this case, please contact the Miller Law Firm.
