Overview

Ms. Prestel is Counsel at the Miller Law Firm. Ms. Prestel graduated Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2020 and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Legal Assistant Studies from New York City College of Technology, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2005.

Ms. Prestel’s areas of practice at the Miller Law Firm include various complex commercial, antitrust, and securities fraud class action cases. She also has experience related to medial malpractice, estate planning, and family law.

Before law school, Ms. Prestel worked as a paralegal in New York City for over 10 years, which included working for one of the leading medical malpractice law firms in the State of New York. While in law school, Ms. Prestel received honors and awards including the Leadership and Achievement Award presented to those students who consistently, comprehensively, and effectively provide leadership in a variety of capacities.  She also received Certificates of Merit, served as Preemption and Screening Editor for Law Review and as School Ambassador. Ms. Prestel was also a legal intern in the Washtenaw Public Defender’s Office and 60+ Clinic, which provides free legal help to persons over the age of 60 in estate planning matters. Ms. Prestel also worked as Professor Martha Moore’s Teacher’s Assistant in Civil Procedure. Ms. Prestel has a general practice with a primarily focuses in Family Law cases.

Ms. Prestel is admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and is a certified Domestic Relations Mediator.
