Butch was asked by the Keynote Speaker, Judge Terrence Berg of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, to introduce him. Butch spoke of Judge Berg’s experience being shot while confronting two home invaders in 2016 and his remarkable dedication to the City of Detroit even in the aftermath of that incident. Judge Berg, whose son graduated from U of D High, reminded attendees of the Jesuit values of civility and humility in their professional and personal lives.
