Tom Wienner is widely recognized as an elite trial lawyer.  He has been named by U.S. News & World Report Best Lawyers as Lawyer of the Year for Michigan in 2018.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, whose fellows are chosen by invitation only and only after careful investigation.  Fellowship in the College cannot exceed one percent of the total lawyer population in any state.

Mr. Wienner is rated by Martindale-Hubbell as AV Preeminent, the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.  He is a Fellow of Litigation Counsel of America, and has been recognized by numerous publications, including The Best Lawyers in America, Leading Lawyers, and Superlawyers.

Mr. Wienner has first-chaired more than forty trials and arbitrations.  He has tried commercial, product liability, and personal injury cases in federal and state courts in Michigan and around the country, including Ohio, Illinois, Minnesota, Florida, and New York.

Mr. Wienner graduated cum laude from Harvard College in 1975, and magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 1978.  He was a Note and Comment editor of the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform.

He began his career as an associate at Dykema Gossett in Detroit, and later became the hiring partner and the youngest member of the partner compensation committee.  From 1992 until 2003, he was a managing shareholder of Feeney Kellett Wienner & Bush P.C. in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Together with Seth Gould, Mr. Wienner formed Wienner & Gould P.C. in July 2003, where he practiced until he joined The Miller Law Firm in 2018.
