We are proud to announce the unveiling of The Miller Family Wayne Law Alumni Wall of Fame on Monday, September 12, 2016. The Wall of Fame Award is the highest award presented by Wayne State University Law School. It recognizes graduates and former employees of the Law School who have distinguished themselves through their contributions to humanity, the advancement in a particular field of work and former employees who have made a meaningful impression on the Law School.

The inaugural recipients of the Wall of Fame Award were announced this past April at the 18th Annual Treasure of Detroit event at the Gem Theatre in Detroit. The Inductees are:

  • Georgia Clark, former Director of the Wayne Law Library
  • Kenneth Cockrel Sr., Class of 1967, defense attorney, being honored posthumously
  • Eugene Driker, Class of 1961, founding member of Barris, Sott, Denn and Driker and who has served the law school and the university in numerous roles
  • Judge Nancy Edmunds, Class of 1976, of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan
  • Paula Ettelbrick, Class of 1984, LGBT rights attorney, being honored posthumously
  • Janet Findlater, Wayne Law School Associate Professor
  • Dan Gilbert, Class of 1987, Founder and Chairman of Quicken Loans and Rock Ventures and majority owner of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers
  • Judge Charles Joiner, former Dean of Wayne Law School and former Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan
  • Judge Damon J. Keith, LL.M. Class of 1956, former Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit
  • Edward Littlejohn, Wayne Law School Professor Emeritus
  • Jon Muth, Class of 1971, attorney, mediator, and arbitrator
  • Stephen Ross, Class of 1965, Founder and Chairman of Related Companies and owner of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins
  • Stephen Schulman, Wayne Law School Professor, being honored posthumously
