Miller Law Firm members, Kevin O’Shea, Larry Murphy, Devon Allard and David Goodrich were excited to attend and support, Peter Karmanos Jr. and Mark Hillman at the MadDog Technology open house this past Wednesday in Pontiac Michigan. The event included a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Riker Building in downtown Pontiac and its first major tenant MadDog Technology.

Last fall, MadDog Technology’s co-founders, Peter Karmanos Jr. and Mark Hillman announced they would be moving three new technology companies into the historic 90-year old Riker Building in downtown Pontiac. Since the announcement, several other technology companies have followed suit, joining MadDog at the Riker. With the move, Karmanos and Hillman plan to expand their companies, creating new jobs and growth within the city.

The 10-story Riker Building which was built in 1928 and has been under renovation since it was purchased by Tim Shepard in early 2016. Starting with the top floor, the 61,000-square-foot building is being renovated one floor at a time as new tenants move in.

Among those in attendance at the event were Michigan’s Lt. Governor Brian Calley, the Mayor of Pontiac Deirdre Waterman, Deputy Oakland County Executive Matthew Gibb and Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard.
