Biography

Daimeon M. Cotton is Counsel at The Miller Law Firm. Mr. Cotton was named to The National Black Lawyers – Top 40 Under 40 by The National Black Lawyers – Top 100 in 2016. As Counsel at The Miller Law Firm, he concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation and class action litigation. Mr. Cotton is admitted to practice in Michigan.

Mr. Cotton graduated from Wayne State University Law School, where he was an Associate Editor of the Journal of Law in Society. Mr. Cotton also earned a Master of Arts degree in Dispute Resolution at Wayne State University. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies and English from Morehead State University.

Mr. Cotton is the managing member of a small law practice focused on employment law, real estate law, Alternative Dispute Resolutions, and business litigation. He holds a Certificate of Training in Civil Court Mediation.

Mr. Cotton is active in the legal and general community. He serves on the ICLE New Lawyers Advisory Board, ICLE Business Law Advisory Board, Wolverine Bar Association Board of Directors, and Board of Trustees for Crossroads of Michigan.  He is a columnist for one of Metro Detroit’s premier business newspapers that offers expert insight in many business areas. He was a member of Michigan Community Resources’ Crowdfunding Legal Education Team and received a Certificate of Recognition for outstanding service and dedication as part Michigan Community Resources’ Nuisance Abatement Team.
